Welcome to the
2020 Ouachita Challenge!

Saturday, March 28th, 2020
to Sunday, March 29th, 2020
Friday night registration starts at 4pm
At the School.

Now in its second decade, this unique event provides a sixty plus mile loop and two days of mountain bike touring and racing on two of our best trails. The Ouachita Trail is known for its challenging climbs, vast technical sections, and scenic views of the Ouachita River. The Womble Trail (an IMBA Epic) is known for its fast trails and scenic views of the Ouachita Mountains and valleys.

With our many great sponsors and the support from numerous volunteer groups, we make every effort to assure you that your Ouachita Challenge Mountain Bike Adventure is a memorable and enjoyable experience.

We regret to inform you that this years 2020 Ouachita Challenge will be canceled.

The health of our Staff, Volunteers and Riders are a top priority, and our hearts go out to all who have been impacted by the coronavirus (COVID-19). We have been monitoring the situation and the effects of this outbreak spreading rapidly with many states declaring state of emergencies and the cancellations of large events or gatherings we feel it is in everyone's best interest.

Our event policy has always been no refunds, however we as an organization recognized these unforeseen circumstances. Sadly with the event only 2 weeks away we have incurred many expenses that we can not recoup. With that in mind, we are offering two types of refunds.

$40 partial refund if you would like your t-shirt & socks shipped to you.

$45 partial refund if you do not want the packet shipped to you.

If you ordered a jersey or extra merchandise we will be shipping that to you.

Please reply by March 30th with which option you would like so we can get the money refunded and the packages shipped out in a timely manor.

While we are disappointed, we know its the right thing to do.

Thank you for your understanding and support.

Sincerely,
Race Director Scott Hopkins

Another Great Year!!!

We would also like to give a special shout out to all of our volunteer groups who help us at the event. We hear a lot of people asking “who are those awesome volunteers out there?”

We receive special help from FoOT (Friends of the Ouachita Trail) at aid stations and road crossings, HAM radio help from Ouachita Amateur Radio Association, First Responders from Cove, Vandervoort, Joplin, & Sims fire departments, registration help from CASA (court appointed special advocates), Finish Line help from Polk County Developmental Center, and help from the Oden Woods & Water Club as well as various Oden Groups.

Where do Ouachita Challenge proceeds go?

Each year we donate around $25,000 from the Ouachita Challenge to the following organizations:
